These Terms & Conditions apply to all services and rental items provided by Le Cristal Events to the Client.
1. Reservation & Payment
1.1. All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once a deposit has been received.
1.2. The Client agrees to pay the full rental amount, including any applicable security deposit, as agreed upon at the time of booking.
1.3. Payment of the full rental amount and deposit is due on the setup day. Once the delivery and setup are completed and the Client is satisfied, payment must be made immediately—either in cash or by bank transfer. If the Client is not present at the time of setup, full payment must be made in advance via bank transfer. The Client is responsible for informing Le Cristal Events of their absence in a timely manner.
1.4. If payment is not made on time, Le Cristal Events reserves the right to cancel the agreement and withhold delivery. Any outstanding payments may be pursued through legal means. All associated legal or collection costs will be charged to the Client.
2. Security Deposit
2.1. A security deposit may be required to cover possible damages or loss of rented items.
2.2. The deposit will be refunded within 5 business days after all items are returned and inspected. In case of damage or loss, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, depending on the extent of the damage. If the damage exceeds the deposit amount, Le Cristal Events reserves the right to invoice the Client for the additional costs.
3. Delivery & Return
3.1. Le Cristal Events will deliver and collect the rented items at the agreed date, time, and location.
3.2. The Client is responsible for the proper use and safe keeping of all rented items during the rental period.
3.3. Travel costs are calculated based on distance and the number of rented items. Changes in location or rental quantity may affect the final travel fee.
3.4. All rented tableware such as plates and glasses must be returned clean. Cutlery must be washed by hand—not in a dishwasher. Failure to return items clean may result in a cleaning fee of €1 per item, with a minimum charge of €10 for fewer than 10 items, unless otherwise agreed.
4. Cancellations & Changes
4.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
4.2. The following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 6 months before the event date: 5% of the total rental fee
- 3 to 6 months before: 10%
- 1 to 3 months before: 15%
- 7 days to 1 month before: 25%
- Less than 7 days before: 30%
4.3. In case of the death of a first-degree family member of the Client, cancellation fees will be waived upon presentation of written proof.
4.4. Any changes to the reservation must be communicated in writing and in a timely manner.
5. Liability
5.1. The Client is responsible for any damage to or loss of rented items during the rental period.
5.2. Le Cristal Events is not liable for direct or indirect damages, including delays, emotional distress, or financial losses resulting from malfunction, misuse, or delays in delivery, unless caused by proven intent or gross negligence.
5.3. Le Cristal Events is not responsible for injury or damage caused by improper use of any rented items.
6. Force Majeure
Le Cristal Events is not responsible for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or illness. In such cases, Le Cristal Events will attempt to offer a suitable alternative or rescheduling.
7. Promotional Use of Photos
Unless the Client explicitly objects in writing, Le Cristal Events may use photographs of the event setup for promotional purposes on its website, social media platforms, or printed materials.
8. Privacy & Data Use
Personal data collected during inquiries and bookings will be handled securely and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.lecristalevents.com for more information.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
